- Scope of Application
As a pressure-sensitive adhesive, it can be coated using conventional high-temperature tape coating equipment onto… Pressure-sensitive adhesives with special properties are formulated on substrates such as PET and aluminum foil. Sticky It features excellent high-temperature and chemical resistance and can also be used for masking in the electroplating process of printed circuit boards. In SMT processes, FPCs, PCBs, sandblasting, coating, high-temperature baking, and gold plating or electroplating, it is used to mask and protect specific areas; it is also employed for insulating, wrapping, and securing electronic and electrical components.
Four 、 Application Explanation
Due to differences in substrate, coating equipment, curing cycle, and desired properties, curing agents ( Peroxide-based agents such as BPO or D CB P, it is recommended to add BPO at a dosage of 1% relative to the amount of adhesive. .5 ~ 2.5 %. In order to ensure the curing agent and the adhesive… Good Mix by first completely dissolving it in the solvent, then adding it to the adhesive solution and stirring thoroughly. Meanwhile, prior to coating on the machine, it should be further… 25 Filter once through a mesh with 0-mesh or higher to prevent the introduction of color paste or other impurity particles.
The use of a curing agent can accelerate the curing process, enable curing at lower temperatures, and enhance the adhesive’s cohesive strength as well as its adhesion to substrates. Peroxide‑based dispersions prepared by blending are stable for only one to two days, as peroxides rapidly lose their activity in the solvent. During mixing, thorough dispersion of both the adhesive and the peroxide is essential to ensure consistent performance of the final product.
SH917 Series The adhesive can be applied directly using conventional tape‑coating equipment; prior to application, it may be further diluted with a compatible solvent such as toluene or xylene, with the working‑solution concentration set at… 35% left and right It is advisable, The specifics can be determined based on each device and the operator’s experience. Coating. When using solvents, ensure adequate ventilation and comply with the solvent supplier’s safety precautions and applicable regulations.
In certain applications, if the adhesion between the adhesive and the backing material is insufficient, a primer coat may need to be applied prior to adhesive coating. The primer must be cured before use, with curing conditions depending on equipment performance, substrate type, and the formulation employed.
Surface sulfidation cycle: 80- 90℃* 2 min remove the solvent to ensure that no solvent remains in the adhesive when it enters the curing zone for vulcanization; 1 60-170 °C* 6 min, thermal curing further enhances its adhesive strength, cohesive strength, and initial tack. However, the precise curing conditions depend on the length, temperature, and efficiency of the heating oven, the type of curing agent, and the nature of the substrate used; these parameters must be determined through equipment‑based testing.
If the equipment and substrate permit the use of a higher curing temperature, the curing time can be shortened. Compared with low-temperature curing, increasing the curing temperature allows the adhesive to achieve its cohesive strength in a shorter period.

III Application Range
As a pressure-sensitive adhesive, it can be applied to substrates such as PET and aluminum foil using traditional high-temperature tape coating equipment. It is used to produce pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes with special properties, which have good high-temperature resistance and chemical resistance, and can also be applied in printing ,t The electroplating process of circuit boards includes masking, SMT process, FPC, PCB board, sandblasting, coating, high-temperature baking varnish, and plating shielding the parts that need protection during the gold or electroplating process, as well as insulation wrapping and fixation of electronic and electrical products, etc .
IV Application Specification
Due to the differences in factors such as substrate, coating equipment, curing cycle and required properties, the addition amount of the curing agent ( peroxides such as BPO or DPP can be used, and BPO is recommended) is 1.5 to 2.5% of the glue amount . To ensure the good mixing of the curing agent and the adhesive, first completely dissolve the curing agent in the solvent and then add it to the adhesive solution, and stir well to mix evenly . At the same time, before coating on the machine, it should be filtered once again with a filter screen of 250 mesh or more to prevent the mixture color paste or other impurity particles .
The curing agent can be used to accelerate the curing speed or allow for curing at low temperature, and it can also improve the cohesion strength of the adhesive and improve the adhesion property of the adhesive. The mixed and prepared dispersion liquid can only be used for one to two days, that is because the curing agent will lose its activity quickly in the solvent. The thorough dispersion of the adhesive and the peroxide during the mixing process is a necessary condition to ensure the consistency of the finished product's application effect.
The SH-917 series adhesives can be directly applied with traditional tape coating equipments. Before application, they can be further diluted with compatible solvents such as toluene and xylene. The concentration of the working solution is preferably around 35%, and the specific concentration can be determined according to each individual's equipment and experience. When using solvents for coating, it is essential to ensure good ventilation and please comply with the safety precautions and relevant regulations of the solvent supplier.
In some applications, due to the insufficient adhesion between the adhesive and the backing material, it may be necessary to apply a primer before applying the adhesive. The primer material must be cured before using, and the curing conditions depend on the performance of the equipment, the type of substrate and the formula used.
Surface vulcanization cycle: 80-90℃*2 minutes for solvent removal to ensure that there is no solvent in the adhesive when it enters the curing zone for vulcanization. At 160-170℃ for 6 minutes, its adhesive force, cohesive strength and initial adhesion are further enhanced through thermal curing. However, the exact conditions required for vulcanization depend on the length, temperature and efficiency of the heating furnace, the type of curing agent and the type of substrate used. At the same time, tests must be conducted on the equipment to determine these conditions.
If the equipment and substrate allow for a higher curing temperature, the curing time can be shortened. Compared with low-temperature curing, increasing the curing temperature can achieve the cohesive strength of the adhesive in a shorter time.
