Product Description

SH-301 Acrylic Acid Cathodic electrophoretic coating

I. Product Overview

Our company has independently developed a next-generation SH‑301 acrylic cathodic electrophoretic coating, which is free of heavy metals such as lead, tin, cadmium, chromium, and mercury, and contains no tin—fully meeting environmental protection requirements and representing a major trend in the future development of eco‑friendly coatings. This product can be formulated into a wide range of vibrant colored electrophoretic paints by adding waterborne or solvent-based color pastes. It features the following characteristics:

  1. The coating exhibits excellent leveling, resulting in a smooth, fine, and glossy finish.
  2. High gloss, excellent transparency, and superior decorative appeal.
  3. The bath solution exhibits excellent stability and can accommodate extended replenishment cycles.
  4. It exhibits excellent resistance to shrinkage cavities and strong resistance to contamination in the plating bath.
  5. Widely applicable to industries such as lighting, furniture and home furnishings, home appliances, hardware, and handicrafts.

II. Main Components

V. On-site Tank Solution Management Project

Excellent bath‑solution parameters and coating quality stem from rigorous on‑site process‑parameter control and equipment maintenance. Depending on their specific operating conditions, production lines may adopt different management procedures and specifications. The recommended application parameters are listed in the table below for reference.

VII. Construction Equipment

The application of cathodic electrophoretic coatings is carried out in an electrophoresis tank; therefore, the following equipment is required:

Electrophoresis tanks (main tank, auxiliary tank, and spare tank) shall be smooth and even, free from defects such as pinholes and shrinkage cavities.

Circulation system (including filtration); DC power supply and associated power supply equipment

Pure water system; ultrafiltration system; cleaning system

Heat exchange unit; curing and drying unit

VIII. Storage, Packaging, and Transportation

  1. Storage: It is recommended to store this product in a well-ventilated area at a low temperature (5°C–35°C), away from direct sunlight. The product’s shelf life is… Six months; if the product is retested beyond this period and still meets the standards, it may continue to be used.
  2. Packaging: Standard packaging in 20L plastic drums; custom packaging can also be arranged upon request.
  3. Transportation: This product is a water-based coating, non-flammable and non-explosive, and shall be stored and transported as a non-hazardous material. During transit, protect it from direct sunlight and avoid freezing (> 5℃) 。
